- Required to work 40 hours per week for a twelve-week period or total of 480 hours for the summer.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.

| Requirements: |
- The college student must certify that he/she has received and used a Higher Education Award (HEA), and/or 21st Century Scholarship during the 2011-2012 academic year.
- Will not graduate at the end of the 2012-2013 fall semester or quarter.
- Will enroll as an undergraduate student during 2012-2013 academic year.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Required to work outdoors for long hours in a variety of weather conditions.
- Required to have excellent customer service attitude and manner.
- Drug testing and criminal history record check are required as a condition of employment. Any offer of employment is subject to the applicant passing a drug-screening test and criminal history record check.

| Essential Job Duties: |
Working under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager and the Library system’s gardener, the person in this position will perform the following duties:
1. Maintains plantings at the Library’s Main Library and branch library locations.
2. Maintains gardens, paths, lawns and plants by pruning, fertilizing, weeding and other gardening techniques.
3. Clears away organic grounds rubbish.
4. Keeps accurate records of tasks and duties performed.
5. Works on an as-needed basis when not needed to perform gardening duties as a groundskeeper.
Perform other duties as assigned.

| Essential Job Duties: |
Working under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager or designated Supervisor, the person in this position will perform the following:
1.Induct to sorter, cart, and re-shelve returned library material.
2. Read shelves, keep material in correct sequence, and re-shelve library material which is out of place.
3. Maintain neatness on shelves and in public areas.
4. Shift books and other library materials when necessary.
5. Maintain neatness in work areas, Staff Only areas, and public areas, this includes but not limited to items found on floors, tables, or display areas.
6. Look for items on paging lists.
7. Other similar tasks as assigned.
Other responsibilities may be delegated by the manager, which may result in a periodic updating of the job description. |
