Each year Nike takes an Air Jordan and release several color schemes and variations
of that shoe. Last year it was the Retro IIIs. This year it is the IVs. Nike started this in Nov 2011 when they released the Doernbecher IV – which if you recall from an earlier blog – are designed by children at a pediatric medical facility in Oregon and then sold to raise money to partially fund the hospital. The pair that was designed had a Superman theme. They are very unique and a pair I wanted but was not able to grab. There are at least four variations of the IV set to release in 2012. I only have 1 pair of IVs that are from 2006. The Mist Blue IV. I love the silhouette and style of the shoe. It is not a high top – more of a mid to 3/4 top. The grey upper was definitely a good way to go, and the blue and gold accents are nice touches, blending well together. The inner lining also features a gold color scheme, which was a nice add on.
So be prepared – 2012 is the year of the Air Jordan Retro IV and you can bet that I will
purchase at least 3 of the 4 variations that release in 2012.
